Artist Cathy Eckdahl, one of whose works, “Communication,” won the Queen’s ribbon at the Arts Project of Cherry Grove (APCG) Art Show during this past summer, and Susan Freedner, veteran APCG thespian, held an open house at their home in Brooklyn, on November 13, showcasing Cathy’s abstract paintings and Nature-based, multi-cultural and mythology-inspired sculpted heads; celebrating the couple’s 31 years together; and reuniting Fire Island friends for the first time since summer ended. As the actual election result was dismaying, anticipated celebration there, as well, of the hoped for historic result had to be set aside.
